Filter Drier Drying Filter for Refrigeration Heat Exchange

The Drier Filter is a critical component in the refrigeration system of an ice maker. Its primary function is to remove moisture and impurities from the refrigerant, ensuring efficient and stable system operation.

During the refrigerant circulation process, trace amounts of moisture may enter the system (e.g., from ambient humidity during maintenance or inherent moisture in the refrigerant). At low temperatures, this moisture can freeze, clogging the capillary tube or expansion valve and causing refrigeration issues (such as ice blockage). The desiccant (e.g., molecular sieve or silica gel) inside the drier filter absorbs moisture, preventing ice blockages and system corrosion.

The drier filter is typically installed between the condenser outlet and the capillary tube/expansion valve inlet, ensuring that the refrigerant entering the throttling device is clean and dry.

Though small, the drier filter acts as a "guardian" for the long-term stable operation of the ice maker, effectively preventing failures caused by contamination or moisture.
